A Message from Darebin City Council
Darebin City Council would like to remind clubs to be extremely mindful of leaving valuable belongings and personal possessions inside change-rooms and around club facilities at all times.
An incident in Darebin has recently occurred during which a vehicle and a number of bags were stolen during a club training session.
While this event is extremely unfortunate and unlikely, it should serve as a stark reminder to clubs to remain vigilant in ensuring club facilities are a secure and safe place to participate in sport.
Darebin strongly recommends locking valuables in a secure location and having a club official monitor club facilities during all training and competition times, in addition to locking sports facilities after use.
