Consideration of applying to change leagues

In response to various concerns raised by members we have been investigating the merits of applying to change Leagues. A discussion paper with more information will be presented to members within the next week and we will be asking all club members to respond via an online survey as to whether they think a change of leagues is necessary. You can access your team fixture by going to http://websites.sportstg.com/assoc_page.cgi?c=0-3913-0-0-0&a=COMPS and clicking on ‘fixture’ for your competition. If you click on the relevant team name (e.g. Northcote, Northcote Blue, etc.) you will get to the Sports TG page for your team. Volunteer of the week

Most of you would be familiar with the volunteers who have key roles with your team – Team Manager, Coach and Assistant Coach. In an attempt to gratefully acknowledge the contribution our many other volunteers make to helping the club run smoothly we are introducing a new newsletter item to thank our ‘Volunteer of the week’. We have almost distributed the new order of bags and have ordered another lot. If you are dropping your player off by car at the home ground on busy match days please make sure that they are set down in a safe area. We don’t want any accidents crossing roads!

We take the safety of our players very seriously and our Trainers are instructed to call an ambulance if they are in any doubt as to the wellbeing of any player in their care. We therefore strongly recommend that all families maintain their own ambulance cover to ensure all costs are covered. School Sport Victoria Team Vic 15 years Representative

Congratulations to Chloe Williams from U16 Girls, who has been selected in the School Sport Victoria Team Vic 15 years and Under Girls Australian Rules Football State Team competing in the School Sport Australia Championship to be held in Adelaide, South Australia from 21 July – 28 July 2018. This year Victoria is fielding two teams, and it has been a great performance by Chloe to make the final squad of 50, following a selection process that began in April. Good luck to Chloe and her Victorian teammates in competing for the Australian title!

Round 5 fixture

The Round 5 fixture has been released: Round 5 Now that grading has finished essentially a “new” competition starts, and some teams may end up playing each other once, twice or even three times over the season. A new grading process was trialled for season 2018 and the NFNL will request feedback at the end of the season, so please forward any comments to secretary@njfc.com.au for collation.
