When you child plays their last game for the season, whether it is this Sunday or during the finals, don’t forget to return their jumper, and club helmet if you have one. Replacing missing jumpers costs the club more than $50 per jumper and we’re keen to avoid this expense if we can so please return any gear to your Team Manager.

An extra big thank you to Kylie Turton, our First Aid Coordinator, for her efforts this year in ensuring our Trainers are all appropriately trained and equipped to provide first aid for our players. Unfortunately for us Kylie and her family are moving to Canberra, so we will need to find a replacement. Thanks again Kylie for everything you’ve done!

A big thank you to Catherine Hart who has been working to update our club memorabilia display. She needs someone with a long ladder and a few hours to spare to give her a hand to finish putting the photos and flags up on the walls. If you meet these criteria please email president@njfc.com.au who will pass on Catherine’s details.

Team photos are now available and most have been handed out at training. A few players have been given the team photo for the wrong team. If there are mistakes with your photo please contact Bernadette Curry on awardsmanager@njfc.com.au but be quick – she will be away for the holidays from Monday.

We’re still looking for parents who can help with transporting kids from the Free Kick Program to and from training on any one Tuesday or Wednesday night during the first month of next term. We need a driver and a supervisor for each minibus trip. A current drivers licence and Working with Children Check are required (an endorsed licence is not needed). Volunteers would need to be in Fitzroy for the first pick up at 4.45 on the day. Let president@nfjc.com.au know if there is a day when you can help out.

We are seeking feedback from members on the NJFC Child Safe Policy. We have developed this policy as part of our implementation of the Victorian Government Child Safe Standards, to help ensure children are protected from all forms of abuse.. Congratulations also to NJFC player Chloe Williams on being part of the first NFL Under 15 girls team to win the 2017 AFL Victoria Metro Junior Championships Division 1 premiership last Saturday. Chloe scored three goals in the final and was the top goal scorer for the competition. Read all about it here!
