Our Free Kick Program allows kids who do not otherwise have the opportunity to play community sport the chance to play footy at our club. Many of our teams have Free Kick players and we are grateful to the Team Managers, Coaches and parents who help them each week in getting ready for the game and instructing them in the finer points of AFL. A Message from Darebin City Council Darebin City Council​ would like to remind clubs to be extremely mindful of leaving valuable belongings and personal possessions inside change-rooms and around club facilities at all times.   An incident in Darebin has recently occurred during which a vehicle and a number of bags were stolen during a club training session.   While this event is extremely unfortunate and unlikely, it should serve as a stark reminder to clubs to remain vigilant in ensuring club facilities are a secure and safe place to participate in sport.   Darebin strongly recommends locking valuables in…

New cougar merchandise is now available to purchase from the club Socks at $10 a pair. Adult size hoodies are available for $60 (sizes XS, S, M, L and XL). Kids hoodies have also just arrived and available for $50 (size 8 through to 14).

Thanks to Violeta Traicevski for co-ordinating a very successful cake stall Sunday 4th June, to help with the expenses of running the Free Kick Program. Thank you to everyone who donated home made goodies and/or assisted on the stall during the day. The generosity of our families meant that we raised $1219, which will help the kids in the Program continue their involvement in community sport. If anyone is keen to be involved in other activities to support the club’s fundraising efforts please let me know.

Congratulations to Lochie Reynolds from U11 Gold who is celebrating his 50th game this week. Great work to have reached this milestone halfway through Under 11s!

This weekend we are running a cake stall to raise funds for our Free Kick program. This initiative has grown substantially in 2017, from 6 players last year to 30 players this year. (more…)
