Hi Cougars  Well done on one of our best performances for the season so far today against Mill Park.   I loved the way our backline players got on their opposition player straight away at the start of the 1st quarter and stayed near them all quarter. Our backs of Luca, Jono, Maxwell, Sam and Saul were fantastic taking several marks in defence.  Hamish and Archer gave us plenty of drive through the midfield. Cake Stall achievement

Thanks to Violeta Traicevski for co-ordinating a very successful cake stall Sunday 4th June, to help with the expenses of running the Free Kick Program. Thank you to everyone who donated home made goodies and/or assisted on the stall during the day. The generosity of our families meant that we raised $1219, which will help the kids in the Program continue their involvement in community sport. If anyone is keen to be involved in other activities to support the club’s fundraising efforts please let me know.

The last time we played Greensborough White it was an evenly run contest - and as expected this week was no different. We are excited to have passed the milestone of 300 players registered for 2017, as new players continue to register to fill the gaps we still have in some teams. We now have more than 50 female players, which is a terrific achievement in our first year of having all-girls teams. We are still seeking players for U13, U12 and U12 Girls teams in particular – if you can think of anyone interested, registrations will be accepted up until 30 June.

Most of you would be aware that we have qualified Trainers present at every match to ensure any injuries are treated quickly and appropriately. Head injuries are of particular concern and we have just reviewed our Concussion Policy to make sure we continue to observe best-practice management of concussion (link) .
